Recipes That Are Easy As Pi!

As we prepare for Pi Day (March 14th....3/14...duh!) I wanted to share with you some of my favorite recipes for what else, PIE! Above you'll find my board from Foodie.com filled with delicious (and easy) pie recipes from fellow bloggers around the country! Check it out and get inspired!

Now for me, when I first think of the classic dessert I think of good ol' American Apple Pie or maybe a savory slice of Shepard's Pie, but as you can see from the board above, the options span far outside of the crust! Here are 3 of my faves from Kasey's Kitchen:

I created this recipe by mistake actually. I had a bunch of ingredients left over from Thanksgiving and I wanted to make something to bring to a get-together. I had 1 apple, a small jar of my leftover cranberry sauce, and one sheet of pie dough. After a bit of scrambling I came up with these beauties. Feel free to adapt this recipe any way you may want!

This recipe will create a vacation in one bite! I whipped these up for my husband's co-workers and they were demolished within minutes. I was shocked at how simple they were to make!

As some of you know, I LOVE creating a new dish out of an old one. In this 'Dinner-Do-Over' I put a new spin on Shepard's Pie and created "Cowboy Pie" with BBQ Pulled Pork and Cornbread! Get creative with this one and use other ingredients that you may have on hand!
