Blackberry Lemon-jito - #MixItUp2014

The weather is heating up and soon enough we'll be poolside in need of the perfect cocktail to quench your thirst. Look no further because this Blackberry Lemon-jito is just what you're looking for.
It's a great balance between sweet and tart, plus you can either booze it up or make it sans alcohol for the kiddos!

This recipe makes on large pitcher of Blackberry Lemon-jito
Ingredients:
1 pint of blackberries
4 lemons, juiced
1 bunch of fresh mint
1/4 c agave nectar
soda water
2 cups citrus vodka

Preparation:
Place half of the blackberries, a handful of mint and the juice of the lemons at the bottom of a large pitcher.

Muddle together with a wooden spoon or a pestle if you have it.

Add agave and pour in vodka. Stir so all the ingredients combine well.

Fill the rest of the pitcher with soda water. You may want to add a bit more agave at this point for sweetness, but that's up to you.

Fill a glass with ice, pour the cocktail from the pitcher into the glass, top with fresh blackberries and a few sprigs of mint.

Cheers!
