So it turns out that the queen of the cleaver and the bella of butter, Julia Child and I share the same birthday week! Ironic? I think not!
Julia's birthday is August 15th and in celebration, one of my fave spots, Napoleon's Macarons has created a special Julia Child-inspired macaron and a macaron six pack in honor of the culinary icon’s birthday.
The Chocolate & Almond Macaron is inspired by Child’s recipe for Reine de saba (Chocolate & Almond Cake)
Julia Child Macaron six pack, including flavors inspired by her beloved cookbook, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. A few of these flavors may include: French Lavender, Crème Brule, Chocolate, Hazelnut, Lemon, and the special Almond & Chocolate.
